So it would have been our wedding day last week, but Covid was all like “not up in here, na-uuh!” so we had to postpone.
Instead of feeling all bummed on our “would-have-been-wedding-day”, we decided that we should celebrate it instead.
So we put on our Saturday best (jeans and sneakers but you pick up what I’m putting down) and we explored the city with our wedding photographer.
I booked my hair and make-up trial (which was suppose to happen in April but, well… you get the idea by now). Our wedding florist arrived with the most epic bunch of flowers I've ever seen.
And we just spent the afternoon feeling all our feels.
Truth be told, I mostly spent the afternoon giggling at Chris (who made snoring noises every time we did an “eyes closed shot” or said something truly unromantic when told to “whisper a sweet nothing”). This is definitely evident in all of these pics.
A word to my fellow Covid brides - as both one of you and as a wedding supplier, I have got to highly recommend a Stuff-You-‘Rona-Engagement-Shoot!
It’s such a cool way to keep in touch with your amazing wedding suppliers (who, just like you, are frothing to get out there and do wedding things again and also don’t want to have to wait to celebrate with you).
It’s also the coolest way to take a down day that was meant to be your wedding day, and turn it into something fun and special that you can frame in your home and look at everyday until your real day of magic arrives.
And that day is coming, and believe me brides, when it does, it’s going to blow your effing mind.
