The next stop on the National Book Tour took us to the community of Galeshewe, Kimberly. Galeshewe is one of the oldest rural communities in South Africa. High School students from the surrounding community competed in a poetry and reading competition where they showcased their outstanding talents. The students were also treated to a robust programme where they were able to hear from University students who are studying creative writing as well as established authors and publishers who detailed the processes of book writing and publishing.
