Interesting comment by Dick Clark. “I don’t set trends, I just find out what they are and I exploit them” It would be encouraging if today’s Owners/Managers in the Hospitality industry had the same attitude as Dick Clark had in the mid-1960s.

Interesting comment by Earl Warren; (The chief justice of the US Supreme Court)
“I always first turn to the sports page, which records people’s accomplishments. The front page has nothing but people’s failures”
Do you think that’s true? Or do you think it’s easier not to make waves? https://lnkd.in/dTP56f-N

Courage is being ready, willing, and somewhat brave to put “Theory” into practice. Remember, whenever you see a successful sales team, someone has made a courageous decision.
Theory X: is based on the assumption that people are lazy and must be corrected or threatened before they will work.
Theory Y: Is based on the assumption that people are creative and responsible and will work hard when encouraged to participate in business decisions.
Success tends to go not to the person who is error-free because it also tends to be risk-averse.
Rather it goes to the person who recognizes that life is pretty much a percentage business. It isn’t making critical mistakes; it’s reacting to the task and getting on with it.
An idealist believes the short run doesn’t count. A cynic believes the long run doesn’t matter. A salesman believes that what is done or left undone in the short run determines the long run.
I’ve always said that life is sweetened by risk. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail, and sometimes I get criticized for my articles. But I do things that challenge me and keep me alive.
When the budget is tight and you’re looking for a partner to solve the problem you don’t look for average, you turn instead to those who are forever searching and striving to become the best they possibly can.

“Ask, don’t tell” The secret of our Sales environment, you can call it capitalism, call it whatever you like, but gives each one of us a great opportunity if only we seize it with both hands and make the most of it.

Macy’s Director of Advertising Bernice Fritz-Gibbon once said “Creativity often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Did you know that the right & left shoes were thought up only a little more than a century ago”
I think that creativity in the Hospitality industry is not about creating new landscapes, but about having new eyes. Do you agree? https://lnkd.in/dyTTqNup

Are you one who assumes the risk, of operating and managing a new business and takes on other undertakings, always looking to expand your supplier's database?
“DECISION MAKING” Is described as choosing among two or more alternatives and implementing a course of action. “Lewis Carrol” the English novelist describes the process differently.
“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in the tree, “Which Road do I take,” she asked. His response was, “Where do you want to go?” “I don’t know” Alice answered, then the cat said, “It doesn't matter!”
Would you as a decision maker/conference organizer make a buying decision based on the information supplied on this link? https://lnkd.in/dKJAwQFH

We are living in the age of big industry and the age were giant corporate groups are dictating price, indifferent service & attitude. I believe we reached the time & age that independent vendors/operators will take the obvious, add a generous pinch of imagination a bucket full of courage stir well, bring to a boil and provide quality service, timeliness dependability, communication and deliver what you asked for & not what you hope for.
“INDAWO” Directly translated from Xhosa means “PLACE” used in different content “INDAWO” may translate into many variations such as #Space, #Area, #Room, & #Destination. It has become clear that in today’s high-end Marketeers & Buyers in South Africa are becoming more & more hesitant when approaching Hotel groups with caution when making enquiries for conference & events.
Personal service, excellent systems, creative thinking & support when selecting the #Place, #Space, #Area #Room & #Destination is the minimum requirement that makes up this market segment. These are the essentials ingredients that “African Indawo” will deliver to meet the demand of today’s Marketeers & Buyers.
At African Indawo we consult and interact with independent selected Managed/Owner operated Boutique Hotels on the merits of forecasting low occupancy periods with specific dates and create special attractive competitive Half & Full day conference packages that include the meeting rooms Food & beverage, presentation equipment, and where necessary accommodation.
We carefully transfer the marketing and conference brief from layman's language, translate this into the operational requirement, select the venue, package & dates that best suits the needs & brief in order to present the cost-saving options with no hidden costs.
Our focus is to assist & advise our clients in creating the groundwork for lasting success. For us the rewards for a job well done is the opportunity to do more, give more which is why we at “Africa Indawo” believe that when our clients are successful, we’re successful. We go the extra mile; “Positive recommendations word of mouth by satisfied clients is the key to our success”
