THREE Simple Ways To Perfect The Beach Wedding

Many outdoorsy South African brides are tempted to host their special day on the beach. If you are lucky and the weather is superb, then the beach is a perfect back drop to say your "I do's". However, if the heavens open and gusts of gale force wind make themselves unwanted guests at your wedding, saying "I do" will turn into you saying "I wish I hadn't!".

There is a simple solution; preparation!

If you are planning to hold your wedding on the beach, ensure there is an undercover, wind-proof venue nearby that can be used to escape the elements. In this way, a little drizzle or a less than favourable breeze will not hamper your special day. A good tactic to avoid squinting guests is to purchase some 'cheapie' sunglasses for guests that weren't quite prepared for the glare bouncing off the white sand. Ladies love their heels, but these are not ideal for the soft sand. Have a basket of flip-flops at the entrance for guests to use whilst on the slippery surface.
