Something for Everyone at The Big Red Barn!
The Big Red Barn is a family friendly venue offering a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities. Please note that the entire Barn operates in a cash-less environment. Payment options include, Cards, Snapscan & Zapper. The Red Barn Cafรฉ, located inside the Barn, offers favourites menu with a delicious variety of meals. The Clay Cafรฉ, located across the road from the Barn, offers a smaller menu featuring delicious salads, protein shakes and amazing Truth Coffee. The Clay Cafรฉ also offers young and old the opportunity to flex their creative muscles by having a wide range of bisques available for painting. The finished product will be baked and glazed and ready for collection within 10 days. Find them on facebook or call 084 447 7740. Acrobranch is the original outdoor activity center where you can have a tree-top adventure or bungee into the trees. Perfect for kids, team building, parties or functions. At the Big Red Barn, you can rent a mountain bike or bring your own to experience the 35km of awesome trails including a pump track. Run or walk the 8km running track, clearly marked on a separate trail through the forest. You can book a children's party, corporate/private function or team building events by emailing [email protected]. Photographers interested in booking photoshoots can contact the Barn as well. The area surrounding the Clay Cafรฉ is also the new home of the Original Irene Village Market. On the first and last Saturday of every month the market starts at 8:30 and offers a large variety of hand-made craft goods as well as a large selection of food and drinks. Find them on facebook for details. Join us for a monthly Sunday run on the last Sunday of each month as well as occasional night-runs and market-runs. Watch the events page for details! The newest addition to the family is Ludwig's Roses And Sunherbs Nursery! They stock a huge variety of roses of all kinds as well as a selection of medicinal and culinary herbs. Stop by their shops next to Clay Cafรฉ and browse through their selection. Over most weekends you can buy a ticket for the Vintage Tractor Rides at The Big Red Barn, tickets available at reception! Vroom Pedal Go-Karts is an exciting new addition to the activities offered at The Big Red Barn. Situated just behind the Pirate Ship, they have two brand new tracks specifically built for pedal go-karts. They cater for toddlers and small children from the ages of two to five on our toddler-friendly track while the more adventurous kids between the ages of 5 to 99 can race around the Grand Prix style track in rugged, built for off-road, pedal go-karts.
