We remember back in 2021 when became a lifestyle brand within Black communities in South Africa and Zimbabwe, No matter how big or small the gathering, if there was food on the table, Tinashe’s wines were there. This is the essence of wine culture — even the world’s oldest, most prestigious wine brands such began in communities, with families and friends, before going global.
Today, wine is increasingly seen as a symbol of luxury lifestyle, particularly among Black communities, and as hospitality experts we are helping shape and nurture that culture. But we also know: wine is best enjoyed alongside food. That’s why bringing our African cuisines to the table creates more flavor, more conversations, and more lasting memories.

When Culture Meets Investment: A Taste of West Africa in Tableview & Parklands

One thing we’ve come to love—and consistently observe—when working with our West African clients is their deep connection to their cuisine. No matter where they are in the world, their food travels with them. To many, it’s more than a meal—it’s heritage, pride, and identity. Whether it’s the ever-debated Nigerian Jollof or the unmistakable flavour of Cameroonian braai fish, you’ll hear, “Our food is the best!”—and trust us, they mean it.

This truth came to life during our recent last-minute demo event hosted by Rawson Properties led by the incredible Johan Van Tander with Vanessa Djoumessi as the dynamic Property Wealth Consultant. They brought in SAUCEYEVENTS to cater for a select group of West African investors eyeing South African real estate.

Despite the short notice, we turned it into an unforgettable experience. Imagine this: Johan, jacket off, fully embracing the moment as he dived into the head of the braai fish—now that’s the power of good food and even better vibes!

It’s safe to say that we didn’t just serve food—we created a memory. The smiles from .oyem and said it all.

SAUCEY is a brand that embodies two core branches: Hospitality, represented by SAUCEYEVENTS, and Fashion & Interior Décor, through SAUCEYPIECES The recently concluded 2025 Cape Town Decotex held at the affirmed that SAUCEY is not only on the right path but is becoming a force to reckon with in the fusion of art, lifestyle, and experience.

The event showcased a beautiful synergy between hospitality and artistic expression, with standout presentations from renowned designers such as .co.za and

One of our key highlights was ‘s exhibit — from a sleek and eye-catching bar display, transitioning into a simple yet elegant dinner setup, and culminating in a relaxed, thoughtfully curated bedroom design. RF demonstrated how spaces can evolve seamlessly, merging comfort with style.
co.za on the other hand — as we say in our home language, “nodi carry last” — truly set the ball rolling right from the entrance. Guests were greeted with a stunning long-table dining experience, featuring modern design elements with mud from the chairs to the cutlery. Every piece was thoughtfully placed, commanding attention and admiration.

The show underscored a powerful truth: hospitality enhances fashion, and fashion elevates hospitality. Watching chefs engaged in live display cooking, while the talented women from The focused on curating intricate art pieces, offered guests a multidimensional experience. It was a real-time demonstration of what stands for — “The Future of Living” a celebration of artistry, brought to life in a tangible, immersive way.

“One hand cannot tie a bundle.”
This powerful African proverb aptly summarizes the recently concluded, exciting, productive, and engaging Wesgro Africa Day Business Workshop—a two-day event held last week in Cape Town, in partnership with the Western Cape Government, Forvis Mazars, and Nedbank.

Day One, hosted at Forvis Mazars in Century City, focused on business partnerships and collaboration. I had the pleasure of meeting pioneering professionals in the hospitality and tourism sector, including Mr. Cocody Abidjan, a corporate event expert from Ivory Coast, and Mr. Adeyemi Adeola from CrownTech Construction in Nigeria. Our discussions are already paving the way for meaningful and effective business collaborations with our respective companies.

Day Two was an insightful deep dive into trade and investment, featuring contributions from African trade institutions, embassies, banks, and private investors. A recurring theme throughout was the critical importance of trust, fairness, and open trade agreements among African nations. At SauceyEvents, we believe that trust must begin internally—within the organization—before it can be extended to partners and collaborators.

The knowledge and connections gained during this two-day workshop are truly valuable and will significantly contribute to both the internal development and external growth of SauceyEvents.
