Little Dancer, Come Play With Us

Now on display in our space near reception, this enchanting life-size bronze by Maureen Visagé reimagines Degas’s iconic dancer with a playful twist. The hint of bubblegum mischief captures the joy and nostalgia of youth.

Maureen Visagé one of artist in residence, is a Cape Town- based sculptor known for her whimsical ceramic and bronze figurines. Her work celebrates love, joy, feminine strength, and the beauty of everyday life.

Art Spotlight: Introducing "What’s Your Currency?" by Artist in Residence; Fadiel Hermans

Fadiel Hermans, born and raised in the vibrant heart of Bo-Kaap, channels the spirit of Cape Town’s rich heritage into his bold, thought-provoking works.
We are proud to showcase 6 of his art pieces in our Centre. This piece is called ‘’What's your currency’’

The piece challenges us to consider the intangible values we trade in daily - whether charm, intellect, resilience, or the power of our stories. The piece cleverly reworks the iconic Zam-Buk into "ZAR-Bux," merging cultural identity with a witty commentary on personal and monetary worth.
A conversation starter, a mirror to our inner wealth.
