ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: Rosie Mudge // Galia Gluckman

Rosie’s bold, shimmering works express a blend of personal and political. Crafted with traditionally gendered materials like glitter glue, nail polish and industrial automotive paint, she subverts sparkle’s clichés to explore gender, intimacy, and power. With solo shows from SMAC Gallery to Cape Town Art Fair, Rosie is a force in contemporary South African art.

Born in Tel Aviv and now creating between Cape Town and London, Galia is known for her large-scale, multifaceted works using pigment ink and collage. Her meditative process transforms strips of colour into vibrant, structured abstractions—echoing the push and pull between order and chaos. Her work is held in major collections across the globe, including SAATCHI ABEL, the South African Presidential Collection, and The Spier Arts Collection.

We can’t wait for this weekend!

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: Kristi Marié // Emily House

Another two talented creators to witness at A Gallery Evening, both deeply inspired by nature.

Kristi Marié is a multimedia artist whose oil paintings are deeply inspired by nature and the shifting seasons. A moody, fog filled winter and vibrant pink summers to contrast. Her work captures the emotional essence of each season with rich, atmospheric detail.

Emily House, originally from England and now based in Cape Town, is a gifted children’s book author, illustrator, and picture book maker. Her creativity is fueled by the outdoors, with nature as her muse. Emily’s illustrations bring whimsical stories to life, sparking wonder, curiosity, and joy. She also champions the children’s book community as the Regional Advisor for SCBWI South Africa.

Together, these two artists remind us of the power of storytelling — through paint, through pencil, and through deep reverence for the natural world.

ARTIST ANNOUCEMENT: RUDOLF LIEBENBERG // GEORGIE GRACE

We are so excited to share our upcoming gallery evening featuring another two remarkable Cape Town-based artists.

Rudolf transforms the ordinary into extraordinary through his bold mixed-media work, fusing urban grit with unconventional materials like heat-pressed shopping bags, old maps, road signs, and local tarmac. His masterful use of line—whether sharp, hesitant, smooth, or jagged—mirrors life’s imperfections and tells stories of time and experience. Rudolf’s latest series explores fables, legends, and folklore, weaving timeless narratives that honor cultural heritage while inviting reflection on universal truths. His work has been showcased at leading galleries including Everard Read, Art@Africa V&A, Youngblood, and Knext Art.

Alongside him, Georgie, originally from London and now residing in Cape Town, draws inspiration from her natural surroundings and unique human forms. Using oils and inks with various recycled and repurposed materials, Georgie’s creative journey evolved from hobby to serious passion in 2021 after gaining gallery recognition in London. Her return to South Africa and the birth of her daughter have inspired an expanding collection of works that reimagine the world around her.

We can’t wait to share more of what’s in store.
