Our first wedding takes place on 23 September, and just a few days later, we’re opening the doors for you to come and have a proper look around.

Heritage Day plans still looking a little vague? We can fix that.

Chef has put together a delicious South African feast for Thursday, 24 September starting with Pickled Fish Bunny Chow, followed by a Buffet Style Braai featuring Beef Oxtail Dumpling Potjie, spatchcock chicken with citrus, harissa and fynbos honey, lamb boerewors and all the bits that belong alongside.

And then pudding. Five of them, in fact. Malva, Cape Brandy, Roly Poly, baked sago and caramel apple tart with homemade custard and cream, naturally.

All you need to do is decide who you're bringing.

The braai is back on at The Homestead this Heritage Day.

We’re talking Pickled Fish Bunny Chow to start, Beef Oxtail Dumpling Potjie, lamb boerewors, spatchcock chicken off the braai and an entire line-up of old-school puddings and homemade custard to finish.

Thursday, 24 September is looking particularly delicious. If you’d rather spend Heritage Day eating than standing behind your own braai, we’ll happily do the cooking.
