Ummah Tech 2025 Speaker Spotlight:
Shaykh Sulaimaan Ravat, an award-winning presenter at Radio Islam International, has hosted the popular breakfast drive-time show Sabaahul Muslim since 2004 and serves as the station’s Programs Manager.
His on-air presence led him to television, where he hosts weekly shows on Hilal TV and INX Prime. Recognized as one of South Africa’s foremost voices in Muslim media, Shaykh addresses a broad spectrum of religious, political, social, and economic issues with depth and insight.
Beyond broadcasting, he is an international public speaker, having travelled widely to deliver talks at masjids and conferences around the world.
Hailing from Lenasia, Johannesburg, Shaykh graduated from the Alim Fadhil course in 2004 and holds an Honours Degree in Islamic Sciences from the University of Johannesburg.
He also serves as Deputy Secretary General of UUCSA, Executive Committee member of Jamiatul Ulama South Africa, and Chairman of the Nurul Islam Centre, home to one of the largest masjids in Southern Africa.
