Isn't she just gorgeous!? Very close to full term and just stunning. I love it when you get surprised by landscapes that you work at so often. The yellow flowers were everywhere at the one spot in the forest on the morning of this session. Just a week later for another session, not a single yellow piece in sight. hehe!

To the best dad, amazing husband and awesome friend, we wish you the happiest of birthdays.
Thank you for being such an understanding, kindhearted and patient dad to Kaela-Ann. I don't think any girl in this entire world can be more loved by a dad than you!
Thank you for being such a supportive and loving husband. We learn and grow together. We fight and fail together. And with all the ups and downs we stick to each others' side.
So many changes, heart ache and hard work over the last year, and we still standing. I will say that is being victorious in life and successful in marriage.
We love you.

Monday

"You have the power to protect your peace."

These words hit harder than most people could understand.
And this time of year with the weather being crazy, things feel slow. We have had some loss as a family again, and then had a big move. So these all fall into the list of the top 5 things that causes depression or the big stresses for any person.
And yet I am somehow still feeling calm. And I think that's because I have finally gotten to the point of understanding that my peace is MINE, and I CAN CJOOSE who or what I want to let in to disturb that.
I still have to remind myself of this, as I am unlearning some habits from the past, and I think it will be a life long learning journey, but it's mine to keep, through sleepless nights, tears or even heartache.
I am keeping my peace.
