Colour, culture & celebration.

Kyyah & Bernard’s traditional Nigerian wedding was a celebration where colour was embraced to the fullest — and we absolutely loved it.

The venue was transformed with rich teal-green draping, layered with vibrant florals and all the colour, texture and energy that made this celebration so uniquely theirs.

There was something so joyful about stepping into a space that didn’t hold back. Every detail felt alive, expressive and full of personality.

A beautiful celebration of love, family, culture and tradition — exactly as it should be. ✨

A little evening out of the office, and what a lovely one it was. ✨

We were invited to Vensters at Overgaauw for an introduction to the farm and its new offering, together with SA Weddings — surrounded by people in the industry.

Good food, beautiful w**es from the farm, thoughtful little gifts, portraits by Martinus van Tee (an absolute industry favourite), and plenty of time to simply enjoy the setting and catch up with fellow creatives.

It was one of those evenings that reminds you how much there is to love about this industry — the people, the places, the food, the w**e and the creativity that happens when everyone comes together.

Some weddings are beautiful.

And then there are the weddings where you leave thinking, well, that was really something.

Luna & Michael’s was one of those.

From our side of the day, we got to be right in the thick of it — coordinating, styling, flowers, stationery, fixing little things, moving things around, making sure everyone knew where they needed to be… and somewhere in between all of that, we got to witness two people who are just absolutely, ridiculously in love.

It oozes out of them. The way they look at each other, it was one of those things you could feel without anyone having to say a word.

And the wind. Oh, the wind. It was properly stormy

And then there was the rest of it — their people. So many friends and family members bringing their own little gifts to the day. A flutist. Acoustic guitar. DJs. Performances. And then the Groove Missionaries absolutely losing the plot (in the best possible way) on the dance floor. 😂 What a band.

Cake Me Happy brought the cake, Bosjes gave us the most beautiful setting, Catherine Mac photographed it all and a whole village of very talented people helped make this celebration what it was.

A little behind the thinking behind this window display ✨

Inspired by the movement of healthy, silky hair, I wanted the sculpture to feel almost as though the hair itself had been captured in motion — soft, fluid and effortlessly elegant.

The sculptural forms that flow around the Kerasilk products, almost cradling them within the installation. The idea was to create movement and softness while still keeping the products at the heart of the display.

Every curve and form was designed to reflect the luxurious feel of Kerasilk, creating a window that feels elevated, tactile and considered, while telling the story of the brand through the sculpture itself.

A few nights ago, we had the loveliest evening celebrating the launch of the newest addition to the Homestead — the beautiful Grace Conservatory by Food Fanatics & The Homestead

An intimate space with the most wonderful atmosphere, thoughtful details and, of course, food that was quite simply out of this world.

There’s something special about being invited into a new space before it starts filling up with its own stories, celebrations and memories. We are so grateful to have been part of the evening.

Congratulations to the Food Fanatics team on this beautiful new chapter. We can’t wait to see all that happens in the Grace Conservatory.
