Planning your wedding invitations can come with a lot of questions: When should you send them? When should guests RSVP? Should you allow a plus one? These are just a few of the details many couples wonder about.

Your wedding invitation is more than just a piece of paper—it sets the tone for your big day and provides essential information your guests need to plan accordingly. Let’s break it down:

1. When Should You Send Out Wedding Invitations? 💌

We believe in the philosophy of “the earlier, the better.” Once you and your partner have settled on a wedding date and secured your venue, it’s time to send those invitations! Even if you’re not ready to share every detail, like the exact ceremony time, your guests can at least mark the date on their calendars. It helps to give your loved ones ample time to plan for travel and accommodations, especially if your wedding involves out-of-town guests.

2. When Should Guests RSVP? ✍️

While most venues require final headcounts about two weeks before the wedding, we recommend asking for RSVPs at least one month in advance. This buffer will give you the time to communicate any changes to vendors and ensure everything runs smoothly. Plus, it’s one less thing to worry about as the big day approaches!

3. Should You Allow Plus Ones? 🤷🏽‍♀️

This decision is entirely up to you and your partner. If you know your guest’s partner and feel they would add to the joy of your celebration, feel free to offer a plus one. However, if your budget or venue capacity is limited, it’s perfectly okay to invite guests solo.

Additional Tips:

Despite the gloomy, overcast weather, it didn’t stop guests from coming together and enjoying the day.

The event was truly insightful, much like the book itself, which offers children valuable tools to understand and navigate their feelings and emotions.
