It was almost a year ago that we started designing this couture bridal gown for Bride Saarty.
The signature sculpted corset panels that lift away from the hips are part of the Cindy Bam Corset Collection — a couture corset structure designed to create shape, drama, and a powerful feminine silhouette.
This corset collection can be adapted into several neckline options, and for Saarty I chose a low sweetheart neckline with illusion mesh, intricate hand-applied lacework, and long sleeves for a softer romantic feel.
You can order your own version of the Cindy Bam Corset in a straight neckline, scooped neckline, or sweetheart neckline — paired with either a fitted skirt or dramatic ballgown silhouette.
The original concept actually started with a separate structured collar jacket over the corset. But as the design process evolved, I felt the separate jacket was too heavy visually and not flattering enough for the final bridal look. So I redesigned the concept and merged the collar and structure directly into the dress itself.
Every lace appliqué was individually hand sewn onto the illusion mesh by hand — a process that took weeks to complete.
The back features a structured eyelet lace-up panel, giving the feminine silhouette a modern couture twist while still allowing beautiful shaping through the corset.
For the skirt, I designed a fitted fit-and-flare lace silhouette with no train underneath for comfort and movement during the celebration, while adding a large layered detachable overskirt for the drama, elegance, and unforgettable photographs.
This gown was months of development, fittings, redesigning, pattern work, hand sewing, and couture construction.
A dress designed not only to look beautiful —
but to tell a story.
Bride Saarty.
