Thank you Ward 71 News , Carolynne Franklin for making it all happen!! 🥰

🇿🇦 It was a busy Mandela Day across Ward 71 yesterday with hundreds of engaged and enthusiastic residents giving back to NPO’s, and those less fortunate households, who also form part of our communities.

🇿🇦 The threads of support, encouragement and compassion, in small and large acts of service were evident throughout the day.

🇿🇦Here are some snippets of decent people sharing what we have with others without any expectations :

1) U-Turn clothing donations at CHS
2) Lawn in order who assisted with moving a heavy fallen branch out of Raapkraal Road - just passing by but stopped to help!
3) Opening talks with Young Legends Soccer Academy in Westlake and ensuring they have some equipment for their younger players.
4) Collecting and distributing 150 lunches made with love by NamasKar Express, and 150 Bags of popcorn donated by Caterkid - all
for Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre.
5) Thula Baba Project packing event at Christchurch Constantia - along with incredible donations of knitted goods for newborn babies…. I even knitted a blanket square ( and almost finished it).
6) Thank you to my friend Heather for the deliciously warm fingerless gloves that were donated to some of our valued senior citizens.

🇿🇦All in all a superb expression of the care and community that drives a City of Hope and understanding of how small acts of kindness are a testament to the true humanity that lives within so many of us.

🇿🇦Thank you to everyone who played a part! If not us then who?
