These days, it’s getting harder and harder to truly surprise people.

Attention spans are short, expectations are high, and let’s face it—most event spaces feel like more of the same.

But the need to gather, to connect, to experience something real? That hasn’t gone anywhere.

That’s why places like Enefit Arena at
Citywave Vilnius catch our eye.

It’s one of those rare spaces where multiple formats can coexist without feeling forced.

A large conference hall that fits up to 1000, a smaller hall for intimate gatherings, a bar space that works for both casual meetups and winding down after a long day, even some soon-to-be-ready co-living rooms.

And then, of course, there’s the surfing. It’s not just a gimmick—it actually adds an unexpected, active layer to the experience.

It’s interesting to see how such a mix can work in one place.

Organizing a truly international event means
adapting to diverse communication styles, expectations, and logistical challenges🤓

As the conference secretariat, Savoir had the privilege of supporting the Second International Rethinking Mental Health Care in Colombo, Sri Lanka, organised by Human Rights in Mental Health-FGIP and GIP - Sri Lanka.

This hybrid event brought together speakers from Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Switzerland, the UK, Denmark, Indonesia, Bulgaria, and Austria.

With more than 150 participants, the conference featured a dynamic program across three parallel session areas, including keynote panels, workshops, and interactive discussions. 🙌

A significant moment was the attendance of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, underscoring the importance of leadership engaging in global mental health discussions.

A heartfelt Thank You to our incredible volunteers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly.

With this conference successfully concluded, we are already preparing for our next international event outside —in South Africa!

A week ago, Savoir visited a new venue in , expected to open in October 2025.

Walking through the space, it was clear that modern venues need to be flexible, tech-friendly, inclusive, and sustainable.

But what exactly makes a stand out?

Here are some of the factors every new conference venue should focus on:

- The venue should have movable walls and different room setups to host events of all sizes, from small meetings to large conferences.

-High-speed Wi-Fi, hybrid event setups, and smart check-ins are a must to keep attendees connected and engaged.

- The venue should be wheelchair-friendly, have hearing support systems, offer translations, and include gender-neutral restrooms.

- It should be close to airports, public transport, and hotels, with options for shuttle services, bike parking, and easy rideshare access.

- Using energy-efficient lighting, eco-friendly materials, and waste reduction programs helps make the venue more sustainable.

- The venue should have good air quality, comfortable seating, quiet spaces, and security that feels safe but not overwhelming.

- Ways to make money - income can come from digital advertising screens, VIP ticket options, exhibitor booths, and food services.

- High-quality microphones, speakers, big screens, and live-streaming setups make presentations and events more engaging.

- Diverse food choices - Offering vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly meals ensures that all attendees can enjoy their food.

- Smart event tracking - using AI tools to track attendee movement and collect feedback helps organizers improve future events.

Savoir had the opportunity to explore the new four-star AC Hotel by Marriott Vilnius, the first and only AC Hotel in Lithuania.

Set to open on February 4th.
