Our 1st Breast Cancer Awareness Event kicked off at Protea Hotel Tygervalley, after not being able to host for the last 2 years. The day went well, we also had a film crew filming some if the event and Our Speaker Dan. They doing a documentary called Option B. And mushrooms have amazing healing abilities, which Dan educated us on. Louise made our Scarecrow to go with our Garden theme!! Well done & appreciate it so much for all your help.
Soup starter was absolutely delicious with fresh edible flowers and freshly baked rolls, lunch was a yummy chicken pie & Greek salad. There was also a Vegetarian option. We tasted Carmien ice brew tea which was super refreshing & later a Cocktail with a difference, Kinda Different !! A real surprise with pink Glitter balls, a few received black liquorice balls. We had a good laugh as they couldn't understand why there's was black and they thought it was mouldy.
The best part was that we could give towards PinkDrive and everyone left winning a prize!! On top of Goody bags, magazines & a pot plant.
