I love this image. The cheeky Lions’s Head back and centre. The Atlantic Ocean at our side. The sturdy rock beneath our feet. The beautiful couple from the States, who’d traveled all the way to honour their love on African shores. My left hand curled up in excitement. But mostly I love the illusion of the mountain path appearing as a little bridge from my heart to theirs. Symbolic of one of the little reasons behind the name, 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘦.

Oooo, I love a story, especially a love story ✨🤍

Tucked inside each of these journals are love stories that I’ve had the honour of witnessing and writing into being. Real people, real promises, real moments. And here they all are … held by gilded-gold paper edges, ink, and heart.

There’s something sacred about putting love into words. Something about the quiet magic of books that hold…well…truth, life, love. All which has been spoken between two people - beneath trees, beside oceans, on mountains and in the quiet space of their homes.

This collection of ceremonies is like a small library of meet cutes and quirks; courage and devotion. Sometimes I think these books are, in a way, holy. Not because they are perfect by any means, but because they real. They hold what it means to be human, to love. And to choose that…again and again.

From our first meeting it was clear that Bridget was the perfect fit and then she miraculously took our story and turned it into the greatest love story in front of our eyes. When I heard this couple’s story and the adventure they had planned, I was head over heels IN! Kyle + Natalie travelled all the way from Isle of Man for an intimate ceremony with their dearest family.

Basically, they told their family to:
- book flights to Cape Town for their secret destination wedding
- pack a bag with the recommended items
- hire a car with decent ground clearance
And upon arrival were given instructions to make their way to , found in the unique and breathtakingly beautiful landscape of the Cederberg.

Kyle + Natalie were incredibly intentional and thoughtful with every detail of their weekend. At reception, I was greeted with a personalized goodie bag (love!). Inside I found a love letter (my fave!) with some of their favourite treats: Maltesers, chocolate buttons, Magic Stars, M&Ms, amongst others.

I was so moved and inspired by their kindness and their approach to life, especially on their wedding day. If you needed a little nudge to follow your heart’s desires ( especially when it comes to planning your wedding), this is it!
