What happens when kids are aloud to the rules?

Our Creative Holiday club kids were aloud to break all the usual rules for the first time ever 🤗

So what actually happens when kids are *allowed* to break the rules... The first 20 minutes of the activity are full of questions like "can I...?" "what happens if...?" "am I aloud to...?"
These kids were shocked when every question is met with a yes. Things they usually wouldn't be aloud to do in class is now available to them in a safe setting where teachers quide their curiosity.
The rest of the activity is full of giggles and focused experimentation

They got their hands covered in paint, experimented with texture, explored mixing colors, asked lots of questions, had lots of fun and went home with stunning works of art🎨

This week's theme in aftercare is beach and ocean!!
We discussed different types of fish ocean animals and sea plants, in this activity we explored micro shells with a magnifying glass and used this to create a beach scene

Seashell exploration at our Creative Holiday Club lead to some threading and before we knew it, we created beautiful shell necklaces that are biodegradable and super pretty too! 🐚🌊
