Youth Day is more than a public holiday, it's a reminder that young voices have the power to challenge injustice, inspire change, and build a better tomorrow.

As we remember the sacrifices of the youth of Soweto, let us also celebrate the dreams, talents, and potential of the young people who continue to shape our communities today.

What people see is the seamless flow, the smiling guests, and the memorable moments.

What they don't see are the months of planning, the risk management, supplier negotiations, logistics, timelines, budgets, contingency plans, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving and countless hours spent behind the scenes.

An Event Manager is part strategist, part project manager, part negotiator, part creative visionary, and often the calmest person in the room when everything is happening at once.

The true measure of successful event management is when everything appears effortless even though an incredible amount of work has gone into making it happen.
