First trail race coming up on Saturday 13 September 2026?

A few tips to help you feel ready: spend time training on uneven terrain now, invest in proper trail shoes with grip, practice on hills if you can, carry water on your longer training runs, and don't stress about pace, trail running is about enjoying the terrain, not chasing a PB.

See you out there!

Boston Trail Run didn't start with a big committee or a grand plan. It started with one person, Wendy Arnott, a trail runner born and raised in Boston, who moved back to the area and simply wanted to share the beauty of this place with other like-minded people.

Wendy has since moved away, but what she started hasn't. Boston Trail Run is now kept alive by community members who give their time every year to organise race day, mark the trails, man the water tables, and make sure the event keeps going. All in aid of maintaining the Boston Country Club, a beautiful heritage building that's been serving this community for well over a century.

That's what you're running for on Sunday 13 September 2026. A place, a community, and a story worth showing up for.

The 20km (R240pp) is for those wanting a proper countryside challenge with a bit more distance under your shoes.
