As a DJ, We believe it's our responsibility to market and promote the events weโre booked at. Because letโs be real for you to get paid, people need to show up.
Get involved in the event planning details, ask for a clean full poster, and request an individual artist poster if possible especially of the DJs or artists youโll be sharing the stage with.
Post it on your social media platforms. The more people who know about the event, the better the turnout, and the more likely you are to secure future bookings.
Some DJs say, "I'm not getting paid to promote"but the reality is, your booking fee depends on the event's success. If nobody pulls up, there's no vibe, and in some cases, no payment.
Most event organizers have their own marketing teams, but the moment you agree to be on the lineup, you're representing that event too. You're part of the movement. So push the event. Share the content. Build the hype all the way until the event day.
We are QwaQwa Meets Bethlehem Music Festival, and We're not trying to offend anyone. We're just speaking our my mind.
But youโre more than welcome to disagree or correct is if we are wrong.
Much respect. โค
