Qualifications include:
1.undergraduate medical degree (MBBCh) through the Wits University
2. Psychiatry specialist qualification (FCPsych) and subsequent child and adolescent sub-specialist qualification (Cert. Child Psychiatry) through the Colleges of Medicine (CMSA).
3. Masters degree (MMed Psychiatry) in consultation liaison psychiatry through Wits University,
4. Post-grad diploma in Health economics from (UCT).

Please do register and give us feedback after the meeting so that we have enough evidence to convince the department of health and the department of education that there is a huge gap in understanding the challenges faced by teachers, learners and parents.
My line of thinking is that if we get to understand the root cause of our behaviour , we will be kind to one another and we will also teach each other to seek for help and we will live in harmony and children will stop using substances and subsequently stop abusing teachers at school and parents at home.
Dr has a proposed solution to all this : he will be soft launching his proposed solution and feedback will be crucial as to whether his model can work.
We are currently looking for a pharmacist or a Dr based in North West Province who can give us a 10 minutes overview of the management algorithm of patients with mental health conditions in our province (suspected case , screening (where and by who ? at primary healthcare institutions ), referral , diagnosis , lifestyle management factors , treatment management and overall cycle of management of the condition including necessary care and counselling for caregivers.
