NEW SITE DROP! 👀

One of the LARGEST overhauls that comes with a rebrand is a new website. Built from the ground up, our new site incorporates our incredible branding from , a bright and inviting color palette, copy we poured our hearts into and of course, many images and videos from our years of wedding documentation. What’s up with the new name? What does it mean?

The short of it is that it doesn’t mean anything! KURO comes from the first four letters of our last name (Kurowski) and we actually love that there is no ethos attached to it. Wedding days are so personal. Some are whimsical, some are down-to-earth, some are ragers, some are relaxed. There wasn’t one word we felt could replace Hereafter in terms of sentiment or encapsulated all wedding day vibes, so we chose our own name with a little twist. It also makes for a pretty cool logo, designed by the talented

We call ourselves a ‘Creative House’ because we have a collaborative and artistic team of photographers and videographers all providing a one-stop-shop for wedding documentation. Through documentary style photo and video, super 8 and 35mm film, camcorder and content creation, we want to provide each couple with the wedding documentation that most resonates with them & their personalities.

As many of you know, we moved from Austin, Texas to the Portland, OR area in 2025 and while we are excited to venture into all the wedding world has to offer in the PNW, we are not leaving our Texas couples hanging! We’ve been planning and dreaming for a year about what this next season looks like for Hereafter Films and we’ve got something BIG to announce very soon!! Keep checking in for updates and look out for our announcement on January 27th.

Jumping onto your feed to share that for several months, we’ve had something cooking behind the scenes. From a cross-country move to a full Fall season of weddings traveling between Portland & Austin, in the midst of it all we’ve been working on the biggest shift in our business to date.
