And now for something completely different! I got to hone my technique shooting vehicles on steep terrain this last weekend. Let me tell you, it's a challenge. Everything is way tougher and steeper than it looks in photos. Thanks to Cherokee County Jeepers for being so great!

Some glamorous grad shots by a waterfall with my sister! The weather was perfect and the falls were maybe TOO full from all the rain, but nobody died and she did great!

Officially a graduate! So proud of my sister and all her accomplishments. Onward and upward! We shot these back in December in northern Missouri, and it was absolutely freezing, but she doesn't show it a bit! Then on the drive home we stopped by Silver Dollar City and my memory may have underestimated the intensity of some of those world-class rides. You can see it in her face.

We took a quick jaunt up a mountain in Helen to see Anna Ruby Falls and grab some pictures. That orange skirt has been on the back burner for about a year, and we finally got some shots with it! Walking up the mountain sucked, standing in the water sucked, and having an audience of passers-by sucked, but we came away with a few really cool shots.

Here's the rest of Rachel's beachside seagull photoshoot. Thankfully the weather cooperated, the dress worked out great, and our seagulls were amicable. Happy late 4th, everyone!

My sister helped me shoot a concept I've been thinking of and it worked great! This was about a 30 minute pit stop on our vacation to Florida with family. The birds are actually right there; no Photoshop trickery.

Hi! I'm back!
I promise to post interesting things more often again.

Here's a cool sample showing how important lighting is. I can't imagine people who hire exclusively natural light photographers. Artificial lighting doesn't have to always be used, but it's an important tool! This shot would be literally impossible otherwise.
