💕 Jen & Lee eloped in Jim Thorpe — and it was every bit as magical as we hoped.

These two kept it intimate, staying at a cozy local Air BnB before the big day. We loved capturing their sweet first look, wandering the historic streets for portraits (that bookstore backdrop! that clock tower!), and then their ceremony under the trees at Hickory Run Chapel — complete with a handfasting and the best “just married” grin from Lee.

Simple, soulful, and so them. This is exactly why we love what we do. 🥂

There’s just something about stripping away the color and letting the emotion, the light, the movement, and every little detail speak for itself. One photograph can hold an entire memory.

And honestly? This is one of the reasons I’ll always advocate for elopements.

You don’t have to spend your wedding day rushing from one tradition to the next, worrying about timelines, entertaining a room full of people, or wondering if you actually got to experience your own wedding.

Eloping gives you the freedom to slow down. To be present. To take your time with each other. To actually feel the moment you’re promising your lives to one another.

And years from now, when you’re looking back at these photographs, you won’t just see how beautiful your wedding day looked. You’ll remember exactly how it felt.

Maybe the better question isn’t, “What kind of wedding should we have?”

Maybe it’s, “How do we want to remember getting married?” 🖤

Under a canopy of green at Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm, Karisha & Clint made it official. From the quiet nerves in the getting-ready room to purple and white calla lily bouquets waiting in the golden light, every detail of this day felt handpicked for them. Clint couldn’t hold back the tears watching her walk down that wooded aisle, string lights glowing overhead as the sun dipped low.

They exchanged vows beneath a rustic timber arch, poured a heart-shaped unity sand ceremony, and shared their first dance on a stone patio ringed by trees. A quick sneak of cologne, a “To My Husband” gift moment, and one seriously delicious husband-nutrition-facts tumbler had everyone laughing before the real celebration even started. A field of black-eyed Susans gave us one last stolen kiss to close out the evening.

Their elopement was a spiritual celebration honoring the spirits, water & fire, with sage to release negative energy and welcome good fortune.

A reminder that your ceremony can be uniquely yours. You don’t have to follow tradition to make it meaningful.

Your wedding day should feel like your relationship.. not a production for everyone else.

Get ready together. Read your vows in private. Hold hands before the ceremony. Take a slow morning. Actually feel the weight and beauty of the commitment you’re making.

You can still have the traditions you love. Just don’t let them overshadow the reason you’re there.
