Why can’t a newborn session be quick? 🤍

People often think a newborn session is something fast and easy. But newborns don’t hurry. They need time to feed, to settle and sometimes they simply need to stay in your arms a little longer 👩‍🍼

In this session, after I finished the first pose, the family asked, “Done?”
I smiled and said, “Not yet.”

After the second background, they asked again, “Finished?”
“Just one more background,” I replied.

During every session, I follow the baby — not the clock.

I still remember the first time I met Louana for her 1-year-old cake smash — she was a little shy, taking her time to warm up, quietly observing everything around her.

And now… she’s TWO.

This year, Mom wanted something simple. No big set-ups. No distractions. Just Louana, her bright smile, her big personality, and her #2 balloons 🎈

Being invited back to document these milestones is truly the greatest privilege.

Caring for a newborn is exhausting.

Mom came in telling me she hadn’t slept well for days. During the session, she said how much she was enjoying this quiet moment… lying down on the sofa while we took care of her baby’s portraits. A small pause. A deep breath.
