And no, I do not mean you have to do a first look.
I am fully on board whether you want to see each other before the ceremony or keep it traditional. Truly, there is no wrong answer here. But if you know you want a little more time together on your wedding day, if you are both emotional, or if the idea of having a crowd watch your very first moment together makes you want to crawl out of your skin… a private moment might be exactly what you need.
It can look like a first look.
It can look like reading letters back to back.
It can look like holding hands around a corner.
It can look like a private dinner during the reception.
It can look like a quiet moment together right after the ceremony before joining everyone else.
These moments are so sweet, so intentional, and honestly so powerful.
Your wedding day goes by FAST. Having even a few minutes to slow down, breathe, and just be with each other can make such a huge difference. It gives you space to feel everything without the pressure of people watching, and those are often the moments you remember forever.
