Somehow it’s been over a month since my last post, even though it feels like last week. Time has a way of slipping by lately. This one’s from our time in the Basque Country, northern Spain. A wet, gloomy day among these beech trees, perfect conditions for this kind of scene. The moss-covered roots and the orange foliage on the forest floor just worked together beautifully.

I’ve been meaning to post this image for over a month, but I clearly underestimated how little time I’d have to do literally anything once our little girl arrived this summer. Dad life moves fast!

This was taken on our last night in the north of Spain before heading back to Barcelona for the final couple of days of our trip last year. The skies were pretty clear, which is never ideal for photography, but we still got some really beautiful light and colours, even without the clouds doing their thing.
