📣INTRODUCING📣 Our next participants for the mini marathon!! This is Harley and Chester. Harley started 6 months ago. He absolutely loves seeing his team mates on a Sunday and learning new skills. Chester followed a little while later after seeing how much Harley loved it. Chester enjoys running around with his cousin Albie, and they both love receiving a shoelace after a good morning of training. Help them support their club by donating to our Go Fund Me!! 🏈

What an amazing win and a great performance at home yesterday for our 1XV including the 2 tries of our winger James Kelly. Like the week before, it was a very close game against Mitcham with both teams scoring 2 tries before half time, leading to a 14-all score at the break. Croydon started strong the second half scoring 2 other tries before seeing Mitcham coming back and even taking the lead by 2 points few minutes before the end of the game. It wasn't counting on Croydon's skipper Jack "Nerves of Steel" Bond successfully kicking a 47m penalty putting the Poppies back in the lead. While the last 5 mins was unbreathable, the local team managed to keep the ball safely until the ref delivered both sides from a cliffhanger game finish.
This 3rd win in a row conforts Croydon RFC at the 4th place of Counties Surrey 5 League before a week off and the reception of Staines, the League leader, in 2 weeks at the Hangar.

This Saturday, we are back home to play against the closest club in our league, Mitcham to hopefully carrying on our winning series. Will the boys surf on the away success of last week? Come to the Hangar to support them and help them continue their exciting journey in Surrey 5 League.
