Do you love rugby? Want to get involved with a local rugby club on the Surrey-Kent borders? We have plenty of games coming up in December and January — come and take a look 👀

If you live in Croydon, New Addington, West Wickham, Hayes or surrounding areas, all abilities and ages are welcome to play rugby at Croydon Wanderers!

We're always looking for players like you. Whatever your ability, our main goal is to welcome people of all levels, from total beginners to confirmed players, developing rugby skills and fitness for all, as individuals and as a team.

It's a WIN...🥳🥳🥳
At the end of a cliffhanger game, Croydon Wanderers secured a win for their first game at home against a good reinforced side of Darfordians.
The visitors put a lot of pressure in the first 20minutes but Croydon resisted well until Darfordians scored first. A second try from Dartford 5mins later could have put Croydon under the water but showing their usual big heart, Croydon scored twice to come back before half time leaving both team at 12 pts led by their defense and a strong pack taking the advantage including in the scrums.
The second half carried on the same basis, with both teams scoring tries. A penalty kick from Adam Doe gave Croydon a 8 points lead, 5mins before the end of the game, before the visitors scored the last try of the game. With Dartford carrying on pushing, Croydon finally managed to kick the ball out to deliver the team and allowing the celebration to start.
A lot of positives for this first win with the demonstration of the massive improvement of the team.
It was the best way to honor the memory of Bruce Purgavie, one of the club funders and infatigable club member, who passed earlier this month and who will be missed.

No doubt they will give their best on their home ground and to illustrate all the progress shown in the last few months.

The game will be played in memory of Bruce Purgavie, former 1XV captain in the 60s and unconditional club member for all these years, who sadly passed away earlier this month.
