I impulsively got in my friend's car for a 10 hour journey to my favorite city (Montreal of course) On said ride we picked up Ben. He was going through a tough time they said. "JUST be chill Ashley" they said. (I was anything but chill)
More of a live wire after a thunderstorm.. if you will.
And yet......A year later on June 23, 2006 ...we were wed.
Between my live wire and Ben's deep waters ...we found our way. Slowly.. with patience from many friends supporting us...year by year... day by day..we got to... today.
And while I'm still at times his hot air balloon on a windy day and he is at times my safe anchor in rough seas ... We continue to work towards our true North. Tonight, after all these 20 years.... Tonight I reflect on all of the above.
Which leads me to my final thought... I have so much gratitude for the highs but even more for the lows . Because in them we become stronger for each other. For Jehovah and for the next 20 year's to come. 🩷Love. Never. Fails. and I love this man more than ever 🩷
