Marriage has become difficult, while zina has become easy.
People now focus more on the wedding than the marriage itself — the dress, venue, food, gifts, photos, and show. Because of these expectations, many sincere young people delay marriage despite wanting halal for the sake of Allah.
In the time of the Prophet ﷺ, marriages were simple, blessed, and free from unnecessary burdens. Today, a simple nikah in the masjid becomes a topic of gossip instead of admiration.
We need to stop making halal difficult and haram easier through pressure, culture, and pride.
May Allah put barakah in simple marriages, guide our communities back to the Sunnah, and make halal easy for every sincere heart. Ameen.
