VY & KHAN — a room, in ten frames.
Fabric was the whole material. It became sculpture, and the sculpture became architecture — tables laid in an S that no straight line could have drawn, a ceiling that curves where ceilings don’t, and the entire space wrapped in a box of curtain, lit from the floor up so the fabric glows where it lands until it stopped reading as a ballroom.
The cake was cast, not baked. Green chairs hold the peace between light blue and butter yellow. Every centerpiece curls the same way the ceiling does.
Then the last frame, which is the only one that matters. Art is just the container. What it’s built for is the people standing inside it.
