A magic theatrical experience of Vietnamese music, dance and song, providing entertaining insight into the culture and history of Vietnam. Soul of Vietnam is p

erformed daily at the historic HCM City Drama Theatre. Complimentary traditional refreshments and snacks are served in the theatre foyer from 5.30pm. The performance lasts a little over an hour starting at 6pm and comprises a series of distinct acts of music, dance and song and includes performances by some highly acclaimed local musicians. The theater, close to the vibrant Pham Ngu Lao area, was the site of a public meeting in Aug 1945 that endorsed the establishment of the Viet Minh, the movement led by Ho Chi Minh to wrest independence from France. The event is commemorated in a frieze close to the entrance which is worth a look before the performance as it is an important historical site in the city.

We no longer stage the show at the City Drama Theatre due to reasons beyond our control and certainly not to the success of the show as witnessed by the many new reviews on trip advisor.
We present smaller productions in our intimate space on D2.
