Da Nang Guerilla Rugby Club, with the support of Rugby Cùng Nhau, recently hosted a special rugby development day for children from the Village of Hope orphanage, an organisation we have proudly supported through previous fundraising initiatives. This time, however, we had the privilege of taking our involvement a step further by coaching the children directly on the field.
More than 50 young players attended the session and, despite the intense heat and direct sunlight, their enthusiasm and energy never faded. The children embraced the opportunity to play outdoors, learn the fundamentals of rugby, and experience the values that make the sport so unique.
We were incredibly impressed by their natural athletic ability, eagerness to learn, and how quickly they picked up the drills, skills, and teamwork required to play the game. What began as a single session marks the beginning of what we hope will become a long and meaningful relationship between Da Nang Guerilla Rugby Club, Rugby Cùng Nhau, and the Village of Hope, alongside several other community initiatives currently in development.
We are already looking forward to the next session, which is scheduled for the 30th of this month.
