The Cycle of Rice is a styled shoot inspired by the unique beauty of Sapa - a place where majestic nature and deep indigenous culture converge. Not only capturing the romantic moments of the couple Linh & Daniel in the mountains and forests of the Northwest, the photo series is also a strong affirmation of Sapa's potential to become Asia's Next Iconic Wedding Destination.
Rice is the main and consistent decorative material of this styled shoot. The life cycle of the rice plant - from sprouts, seedlings, young rice, flowering to straw after harvest - is symbolically recreated on the top of Tus de Liab (Ville De Mont), at an altitude of 1,600m. Amidst the sea of clouds and the vast mountains and forests, each layer of green rice has created a space that is both artistic and culturally profound.
The bride’s wedding dress was designed by White Peony Bridal, with the highlight being the delicate brocade fabric on the bodice — a typical material of the Dao people in Sapa — once again cleverly honoring the local identity.
The Cycle of Rice is not only a beautiful photo series, but also an emotional story about love, culture and the harmony between people and nature.
