When people hear we moved from the South to Cambridge, they always ask the same thing:

“Why would you ever move here?”

And honestly—when we landed here in May of 2023, we didn’t really have an answer other than… we wanted our babies to grow up around family. That’s it. That was the only thing we were sure about.

But today, I can finally tell you the real reason.

This morning we hosted our very first Mother’s Day Brunch at Pritchard Laughlin, and what started as a little idea—to celebrate the moms in this area—turned into a FULL community event.

People showed up. And I don’t just mean attended.

Tabitha from Monarch Mercantile created the most stunning centerpieces ((WHICH you can now buy over at her shop!! Check her out))

Annabel from Sugar Cloud Nine brought her beautiful cotton candy and joy.

Melissa from Confetti Bar Co. built the most gorgeous arch and came today to make it extra special with that "MOM".

Aimee from the Guernsey Brewhouse let us borrow high chairs—last minute, without hesitation.

And here’s the thing… they volunteered. On a Sunday. After a week of rain. Because they just wanted to help and they want to see us succeed. These woman are

Someone looked at me today and said, “Whatever you need—I just want to support you. This is your livelihood.”

And in that moment, I had a full circle realization.

This is why we’re in Cambridge.
This is why this is our home.

To every single one of you who came out, helped us, hugged us, shared a post, supported our wild ideas—you’re the reason we’re here. And the reason we’re staying.

I can’t thank you enough. Truly.
