Sorry folks, we’re doing a little regime change over here.
The Hen House will be CLOSED this Saturday & Sunday for a full reset and staff training.
Gotta tighten up the ship so we can keep feeding y’all right.

We will have our BBQ on Friday night this week!

We’ll be back after the reset, refreshed, recharged, and ready to cluck things up again.
Will re-open Monday 4pm...........

We know our hours have been shifting around a bit — we’re not confused, we’re just trying to match when y’all actually want to eat during these hot Yuma summer days.

Thank you for being patient with us while we feel out everyone’s summer rhythm. We truly value every single one of you.

And because we value you… here’s the deal:

If you’ve got a group that wants to come in on any day we’re closed before 4 PM,
*****Just call and reserve — we will show up for you.
Yes, even Sunday brunch. If you want it, we’ll make it happen.
*** TODAY (May 31) WE ARE OPEN at 9am!

Starting June 1st, our regular Sunday hours will be:
1 PM – 6 PM
BUT if y’all want to come in earlier, all you have to do is let us know. We’re here for YOU — so don’t be shy, just ask.

We appreciate you, we love feeding you, and we’re doing our best to make this summer work for everyone.

Well hey there, sugars — gather ‘round, because it’s time you officially meet The Sassy Hen.

Yes, THAT one. (the one who ruffles your feathers)
The one with the big personality, the bigger opinions, and the cast‑iron skillet that has seen more drama than daytime TV.

Let me make something real clear:
I am far too grown, too seasoned, and too marinated in life to be tiptoeing around anybody’s attitude. If you’re grouchy, grumpy, or built like a bad mood… baby, that’s between you and your therapist. I’m not carrying that burden.

And if you don’t like me, my sass, my restaurant, or my food?
Oh honey, that’s fine. Truly.
There are plenty of other places out there — go forth, explore, be free. I won’t be mad, I won’t be pressed, and I won’t be losing sleep like a Victorian widow staring out a rainy window.

Because here’s the truth:
I opened this restaurant because cooking is my therapy.
It’s where I unwind, where I laugh, where I heal, and where I get to feed the folks who actually enjoy being here.

I cook for the people who walk in hungry and leave happy.
I cook for the ones who appreciate a little seasoning in the food and in the personality.
I cook for the ones who get my humor, my heart, and my hollerin’.

So if you’re here for good food, good company, and a hen who tells it like it is… pull up a chair.
If not, well — the coop door swings both ways.

I’ll be honest… y’all had me scared for a minute there.
I was standin’ in that kitchen like, “Is this it? Is this how BBQ dreams end?”

But nope — y’all showed up tonight and proved me wrong!
Guess you didn’t want us takin’ away BBQ Saturdays after all.

So from me, the crew, and one very relieved chicken mascot —
THANK YOU for comin’ out, eatin’ good, and keepin’ the smoke rollin’.

We love y’all more than brisket loves low and slow.
