This post has been 19.5 years in the making. We purchased the lanes on January 5, 2007, without any idea what we were really getting into :) . We have learned so much about bowling machines, bowling balls and bowling lanes, but all of those things are small and insignificant. The most important part of our years here at Valley is the friends that we have made that we now call family. We were strangers to most of you when we bought the alley and you jumped right in to help us any way. On our lost days when we didn't know what to do next, you were there. On our days that we were busy - it didn't matter if it was league, a tournament or even just open bowling - you were there.
Your generosity with our scholarship program has been overwhelming! The new owners are excited for the scholarship program as well, and have graciously asked that Dale and I continue that awesome tradition - thank you for helping us to help so many students in our community. We couldn't have done it without all of you.
You have helped us raise our amazing children - you were there if I had to leave and pick up a sick child from school, you were there to celebrate their victories - both on and off the lanes. You have loved them and been our village to help them grow. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
We thank God for each of you that we have had the honor of meeting, getting to know and living life with for almost two decades. We have lost some incredible people over the time we have been here and they will be forever missed. We never thought about the losses when we purchased the business all those years ago, but all of those people have left their mark on our hearts as well.
We have been humbled by the outpouring of well wishes and love that we have received since announcing that we have sold the lanes. Please know that we love you like family and selling the alley does not change that. We thank God for each of you that we have had the honor of meeting, getting to know and living life with for almost two decades.
Jeremy and Taryne Lewis and their amazing children are going to do incredible things with the business and we are so excited to see where they take it. We truly could not have hand picked a better family to carry on Valley Bowling Center. Please welcome them and love them as you have our family - we can't wait to see this family thrive and keep growing.
Again, thank you all for your love, support and kindness for all of these years - we have truly been blessed. We love you and will see you on the lanes :) - Dale and Kellie
