Home style Chicken and Dumplings

Not sure if anything screams comfort food ( in a well bred southern hospitable way) more than chicken and dumplings. And don't forget to throw in the biscuits baby!

Again, major steal peeps... That could feed your whole family for a lot less than dinner at Cracker Barrel, depending how many children you have and your level of comfort neediness that day :P

Pralines with Bacon
I know, I know, people are overly obsessed with bacon right now and need to chill. But listen to this...

Pecans? Yes
Caramel? Yes
Buttery goodness? Yes
A salty, savory compliment that perfectly balances those sweet rich flavors? YAAAASSS

As you can see I have reasonable supporting facts for my cave in to the bacon fad. Don't quite agree? Perhaps you need to order some and conclude your own scientific opinions.

Broccoli, Jalapeño mac and cheese. What better comfort is there than gooey, meaty cheesy goodness? And CARBS. Your best frenemy. Of course for the picky people you can just get it without the add ins. $15 for a big ol' 9x13 pan! "Hey, wait a minute, Isn't that way cheaper than a restaurant but equal or higher quality?" Very perceptive my friend...

Well I see that we are all going to be trapped in outhouses enjoying the gray weather and rain for pretty much The rest of the week if the forecast is accurate for once.... Three things I love to do most when it gets gloomy is
1) read an old book
2) buzz around the kitchen
3) eat comfort food

This is not your average snacking/junk food, far from it in fact. This is tiny nuggets of fluff adorned in liquid gold... Air popped popcorn coated in rich caramel has a special ingredient added to make it less "crack your teeth crunchy" and more "party in your mouth crunchy". It's amazing for any occasion: parties, family nights, or breakfast. But it's best when your all alone cramming as much of it as you can in your mouth.
Enjoy plain or with add ins such as chocolate drizzle, nuts, cinnamon or whatever your heart desires! :)
