Some things that might surprise you about myself & my business…
1. I stay away from too many trends. Don’t get me wrong. Trends are fun but I’m here for longevity. Like your staple white T or favorite jeans ;)
2. Not every wedding needs a mock up. Unless a client wants to see their rentals & floral pairings it can spark pulling apart florals which is not the purpose of a mock up
3. I’m more of a type-A / organized personality. I’m not your average creative… and I’m realizing that’s okay!
4. Some years are for hustling & others are for treading lightly. I take on whatever load my season in life allows
5. Im better than any wedding, flower type or style. It’s fun to not take myself too seriously (im not a rocket scientist)
6. I use floral foam & guess what. It’s saved my business on hot days (which is almost every day in SoCal)
7. My role constantly changes. Sometimes I’m more of a lead designer while others I’m just a production manger. Both of these roles are okay
8. Mock ups make me anxious… that’s not new
9. I outsource a lot (candle cleaning, processing, some design) bc I could never do all of this on my own
10. I don’t use an ordering platform bc my brain just doesn’t work that way, I’ve learned to embrace it
