This week, we proudly mark National Public Works Week and celebrate the dedicated men and women of The City of Yonkers of Yonkers Department of Public Works who keep our city running every single day.
From maintaining roads and sewers to sanitation, engineering, and essential infrastructure, their work — both seen and unseen — helps keep Yonkers safe, clean, and connected.
Tomorrow, students at Westchester Hills School 29 will get a firsthand look at the important role public works professionals play during our annual DPW Day.
This year’s theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” is a reminder that strong communities are built through dedication, teamwork, and service. Thank you to all of our DPW employees for the work you do each and every day for Yonkers.
