After much deliberation we decided to keep the original beadboard in the main room of The Church House. While it was in really bad shape, we were able to piece it back together and restore it with lots of caulking and paint and thanks to Keith and Tommy Pender and their amazing team (AKA Penders Painting) it turned out beautiful ! These hand hewn beams that once held up parts of the floor had to be replaced, but someone made them out of trees they probably cut down on the property over 100 years ago. You can’t throw them away… but you can use them on the corners of your kitchen island. To book your wedding or event at The Church House visit the link in our bio.

We are excited to announce the Church House SC is now open for bookings. It’s been a long journey to get to this point and we are thrilled to share it with the low country community. The property is steeped in history with its roots dating back to the mid 1800’s. The build out honors the old, while bringing modern amenities and conveniences to all our guests.
