Xochimilco with some of my good friends! 🌮🍹
This has always been one of my favorite places to enjoy great Mexican food and drinks. We decided to check out their newest location on Yakima Ave after the long awaited grand opening, and I wanted to share a few thoughts.
If you visit right now, just know you may not get the full, normal Xochimilco experience quite yet. The restaurant was extremely busy, which is understandable for a brand new location. We experienced a wait of about an hour before being seated, and things seemed a little chaotic due to the large number of guests.
That being said, I truly believe things will smooth out once they get settled in. I won’t be doing a formal review since I’ve reviewed Xochimilco several times before, but I can say that the customer service was excellent as always, the food was delicious, and the prices are consistent with their other locations.

Tried the carnitas tacos from Pops Chicken and wow… the flavor is on another level. The meat was juicy, packed with flavor, and the quality was easily a 10/10. Safe to say this is officially my new go to spot for carnitas tacos! 🔥🌮
