Heceta Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast

Heceta Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast Pronounced “Ha – SEE – Ta” by most, “HECK – ah – Ta” by others, yet everyone agrees Heceta Head is one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world.
(514)

A boutique B&B and wedding venue in the Keeper's Home at Heceta Head Lightstation on the Oregon Coast with a locally sourced breakfast and wine and cheese social. The Heceta Head Lighthouse and Light Keeper’s house are circa 1894. Both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse is a working lighthouse. From a height of 205 feet above the ocean, its “first order” Fresnel

lens, casts it’s beams some 21 miles out to sea. It is the brightest light on the Oregon coast. It is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the United States. The Heceta Head Keeper’s House is perched on a cliff with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the beach below. Paths from the Keeper’s House lead both to the beach and to the lighthouse.

"This place and its surroundings were amazing! Beautiful, peaceful, serene. I wish we could have stayed longer and just taken it in. the mountains, forest and ocean come together and then there is the lighthouse keepers cottage, the lighthouse and the gift shop. the innkeeper and the chef were so nice and friendly. The food was fantastic! the gift shop had a great variety and reasonable prices, and the shopkeeper was over the top helpful and friendly. I bought a print of the lighthouse and she packaged it perfectly for us to take on the plane home with us. The cottage was a page right out of history. the only thing that was a challenge for us was the stairs. all of the bedrooms are upstairs and my husband uses a walker so we had to improvise. however it was worth it."

Public review - 5 stars
"This amazing place is maybe the most memorable Airbnb I have ever stayed at. It is even cooler than the description; walking up to the lighthouse at night was something magical. Breakfast with the other guests was lovely and delicious.
Highly recommend.
Note: Be aware of the shared bathroom for Cape Cove and Queen Anne."

Tomorrow is National Lighthouse Day, and there's no better place to celebrate than Heceta Head.

Since 1894, the Heceta Head Lighthouse has guided mariners along the Oregon Coast. Today, it's just as magical—where history meets nature. It's not uncommon to see deer peacefully grazing on the grounds of the historic Keeper's Home, reminding us that this special place belongs to wildlife as much as it does to visitors.

Whether you're here to experience our historic bed & breakfast, explore the trails, or simply soak in the serenity, Heceta Head offers a glimpse into Oregon's past that's still very much alive.
