Musica Viva Concert Series Comes to the Loretto Historical Mansion!
THIS FRIDAY! Join us for an evening of classical music at the Loretto Historic Mansion right here in Wytheville, VA. Event begins at 6:15 PM with drinks and food provided by award-winning chef Clint Neel of 'Your Grate Escape'. This concert event is limited to just fifty people and proceeds will benefit the Millwald Theatre. We have three incredible musicians coming to entertain us with their world-class talents, they have traveled the globe and played on the biggest stages with the best musicians anywhere. See their bios below for a very small taste of what these virtuosi have to offer!

WAYNE LEE, Violi
American violinist Wayne Lee has enjoyed a prolific career worldwide as a member of two internationally-acclaimed chamber ensembles. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Formosa Quartet, a string quartet that performs extensively in North America, Europe and Asia, with recent engagements at London’s Wigmore Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, Taipei’s National Concert Hall, and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts in Vancouver.
PETER LAUL, Piano
Peter Laul was born into a musical family in St. Petersburg, Russia and received his education at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he studied with Prof. Alexander Sandler, and where he has since become a faculty member. He won the 3rd prize and special prize for the best Bach performance in the Bremen International Piano Competition in 1995 and again, in 1997, he won the 1st prize and special prize, this time for the best Schubert sonata performance.
DMITRY KOUZOV, Cellist
Dmitry Kouzov A versatile performer, cellist Dmitry Kouzov has performed worldwide with orchestras, in solo and duo recitals, and in chamber music performances. He has appeared with such orchestras as the St. Petersburg Symphony (Russia), as well as National Symphony of Ukraine, and the South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic (Czech Republic), to name a few. He has awarded First Prize at the International Beethoven Competition in the Czech Republic and he is a two-time laureate of the International Festival Competition “Virtuosi of the Year 2000” in Russia and is winner of the New York Cello Society Rising Star Award.
