We closed out a busy month with a birthday celebration for Glenn. We love this classic silver and black with special touches provided by the family. Another A+ client on our list, and we are honored you choose The Historic Planters Building to celebrate!

We (Mike and Holly) took last weekend off…sort of. Our operational changes for 2025 included reserving one weekend a month for time to recharge. If you work with your spouse, then you know!

We spent our down time this month serving at a phenomenal event that our good friends host—The Marriage Retreat. While technically we weren’t working, we still brought in decor from our venue for date night. Let me tell you—having 12 extra sets of hands helping set up made short work of it (though we missed Janice!).

We are blessed to have a strong marriage, and we are passionate about working with other couples as they plan their weddings, get married, and begin a life together. If you would like more information on this annual weekend retreat (not hosted at Planters!), send us a message. We’d love to tell you all about it!

Thank you. No other words say it better. Six years of business in tiny Woodville, Mississippi, and we are stronger than ever. Thank you to every client who has booked, every follower who has liked a post, every top fan who has commented or simply encouraged us. We appreciate you so much.

When we moved to Woodville almost seven years ago, this business was not even a dream in our hearts. We just knew Woodville is where we were supposed to be. There was a draw, a magnetic pull saying, “This is your home.”

Woodville is our community. It’s where we lay our heads. It’s where we have family and friends. Sure, we have our hard days, but in the end, there is no place we’d rather pour our heart and soul into. No people we’d rather serve. No place we’d rather call home.

Thanks for treating us like family. Y’all are just one giant hug of a town.❤️

Did this couple really choose a dark and moody theme for their springtime wedding? They did, and we loved it! As with most weddings, I didn’t have time to take many photos, but I’m sure photographer Chelsea Hill captured all the beauty of this ceremony.

Congratulations, Amanda & Shelby, and thank you for entrusting your special day to us! As with many clients, you came to us as strangers, but left as friends.

The Historic Planters Building

The Historic Planters Building, constructed in 1903 by Planters Mercantile Company, has served the Woodville community for over 100 years as a mercantile, hardware store, gift shop, and cafe. In 2019, Gather LLC purchased the building to preserve its history and its place in the community.

Available now for rentals, 4,000 square feet of first-floor event space in Planters showcases exposed brick walls, rustic hardwood floors, a front wall full of windows, and a 16-foot beaded-wood ceiling. An additional 2,000 square feet serves as kitchen/prep area, restrooms, and office space.

A wide, mahogany-stained staircase leads to the mezzanine level. The mezzanine is a more intimate space with a 7-foot ceiling and just over 1,800 square feet overlooking the first floor. 1,000 square feet of the mezzanine is available for events beginning January 2021.

The upper floor was once filled with all types of furniture and later used as storage space. A double staircase leads to the 5,500-square-foot space wrapped in plaster walls and 24 floor-to-ceiling windows. The 12-foot ceiling once opened to a skylight that served the entire building before electric lights were installed. Ask to have a peek at this magical space!
