Most CME/CE teams can tell you their process. Fewer can produce the record of it on demand.

Those are different things. A process lives in people's heads and habits. A record lives somewhere specific, in a form someone else could actually open and understand, without the person who ran the activity in the room to explain it.

The gap between them doesn't show up in day-to-day operations. It shows up the moment someone outside the team asks a specific question about a specific activity from a while back.

A program that's audit-ready isn't one with a better process. It's one where the process leaves something behind.

Growing your CME/CE program usually means growing your admin team right along with it. More activities, more sites, more disclosures to track by hand.
