And event 3 of 3 at Ry-Max Farms with Total Acre. Great group. More brisket. More cheesy potatoes. More garlic green beans with almonds and bacon. And to add to our meal, amazing cupcakes from Kristi Koepp. Yum!

Event 2 of 3 - Kick off lunch for Royal Family Kids Camp. No pictures but same menu and same wonderful staff and volunteers as so many years before. Saying some prayers for a great week to reach about 55 campers that have been in and out of the foster care system. Praying for a positive camp experience and to hear about God. Oh…and a good weather week would be great as well.

Stumpy's BBQ did ok at the Wood River Funfest last weekend. We don't usually do wings, but this year we joined in the fun. I thought they were absolutely delicious! 2nd place isn't too bad. For all of you that have tried Stumpy's smoked baked beans...they received 3rd place!

Stumpy's competed at the Gibbon Fire Department Cook-Off this past weekend. 1st place for barbecue sauce (2nd year in a row), 2nd place in pulled pork, and 2nd place overall! Huge kudos to Phil for all his hard work (and fabulous cooking skills). Thanks to Andrew for helping to keep the fires burning! We definitely owe a few thank yous to... the sauce crew that helped us create the award-winning sauce - Lisa Rathman and Lysette Anderson! Chad Rathman for all the help wherever needed! Thanks also to our amazing cheering section - Cassie Watts and Nicholas John Lechtenberg; and our Omaha friends - Kelly Lechtenberg and Kevin Lechtenberg, Robby, Nate, and Sydne. Definitely a fun time this weekend! (special thanks also to Andrew and Kelly for the great pictures. Oh...and Cass for taking the group photos!)
